Melora Hardin is best known for her roll on hit TV series The Office, but unknown to many is that she’s also an extremely gifted a Broadway stage actress and singer. For her shoot we recreated scenes from Chicago, Phantom of the Opera,  Les Miserables and Evita.

In actuality, we didn’t do this in our studio, we rented a nightclub that had floors that looked just like a stage to create the sets on to save time.

Ed Dorzinski owns an auto repair shop that prides itself on a higher level of customer service, integrity, and family values. He doesn't advertise or run promotions and his shop is tucked away in an area you can't see from a major street. When chosen by an enthusiast magazine for an editorial feature, Ed wanted to make sure his branding and messaging were load and clear while showing off the nature and surroundings that causes him to be located where they are.

Karina Smirnoff is a professional (and five time national champ) dancer as well as a regular on Dancing With The Stars. We wanted her portrait to be as genuine of a portrayal of what she does so we shot her at Third Street Dance Studio in Los Angeles, the same place she tapes segments of DWTS. Great portraits can take time so we rented the studio for half a day to be able to clean up and rearrange things the way it best suited a portrait, not a TV show.

Kaitlin Olson, Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton are the main characters (along with Danny Devito) in the hit show Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Their portrait isn't about them, but the characters they play, moods they evoke, and how they interact. The location (a bar which is also the main scene in their show) is important as part of the story, but even more important is their interaction with each other.

Ashlan Gorse is a noted red carpet correspondent for E! Entertainment. Her beat: Los Angeles. Depicting Ashlan with the L.A. skyline behind her helps tell that story. Ashlan also has headshots that arte used as avatars on websites and promos for things she does but in this case, an editorial, a portrait made more sense.
