San Diego photographer, Laurens Antoine. San Diego's only celebrity magazine photographer is a local San Diegan living in the Carmel Mtn area. With over 25 years of experience in fashion and advertising Laurens is internationally known for his work shooting celebrities, actors and models.

Posing you – a unique art

Each person and face is unique. And each person's headshot and face needs to be shot differently. To get that great headshot you need to be positioned properly and have your personality come out. Its subtle angles, lighting and positioning that accents your best features and we spend the time to find it, and then capture it. We also take our time to get you comfortable and bring out your persona in your headshot.

Top of the line cameras and lenses

We use Canon’s highest end bodies and “L” lenses, or Hasselblad’s H4D system. We are always up to date – and it matters.

Lighting for headshots

Our San Diego studio has close to 100 state of the art lights from top brands like Profoto, Speedotron, Photogenic and Dynalite. We have every conceivable modifier and are renowned for our lighting techniques.

Our studio

We can shoot you anywhere in San Diego county, but the best shots come from inside our easy in and out studio. We have over 3000 feet of shooting space alone. Distance and space are a photographer’s best friends for headshots: It allows for separation, properly positioned lighting, and flattering lenses. You cannot get the same quality headshot in a conference room or lobby.

With 25 years of editorial, advertising and celebrity experience, we’ve been held to a higher standard. It all applies to every product and headshot we create. Few noted and branded photographers do general headshots, but by only focusing on certain trades we’re able to develop specialized products efficiently, and to unmatched standards.

When shooting celebrities for magazines you learn to get quality without wasting precious time. It takes knowing the setup, being fluid with changes, and how to make each subject quickly comfortable so you can learn and work with their unique features. You’ll notice the difference!

"This will be a bit long, but I just loved my headshots so much that I wanted to describe the experience for others. First the San Diego studio is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone was so professional and nice. Previous headshots were a two minute affair but Laurens spent the time to learn how I photographed constantly looking at the progress in a computer. I could see my headshots as they were being taken!

Three separate headshot looks were taken and then we reviewed each. I took about 45 minutes and there were so many good ones I was flabbergasted. Laurens combed them down making comments as he was doing it and pointing things out in many of the headshots I'd never have noticed. I would up keeping one of each look and loved them all.
