How Quotes Are Created

We are aggressive with pricing when we shoot large groups. However, there are some things you should know before requesting a quote from us, or anyone else.

You should always ask about options when asking for a proposal. There are many ways to shoot headshots, especially with larger. Consider for example your driver’s license photo, versus some of the high-end headshots you see on our site. Simply asking for the lowest price will get you DMV like results from many photographers.

The best way to shop group headshots is to first set a budget and then ask what you can get for it. Discuss your options with your headshot photographer.

What Options You May Have

Equipment brought in, time per subject shooting, and post process all contribute to the cost of your headshots. For high quality, yet cost efficient headshots we recommend 15 per hour with industry standard retouching. For the best quality we recommend 8 – 10 headshots per hour followed by LBT retouching. That’s how we priced the shoot for the case study below.

CEFPI is a large, very well-respected international organization that guides school boards throughout the world. When they held their Board of Directors meeting in San Diego, they hired us to shoot their newest board members. Then decided to have us redo them all.

This was all done in under two hours, during a contentious board meeting. If you look carefully you’ll see that many of the before and after headshots are of the same people.
